After a wholesome breakfast, visit the ancient Khandagiri and Udaigiri Caves, celebrated for their intricate Jain rock-cut architecture and historical significance. Travel to Chilika. Chilika is a large water body comprising of a lagoon of brackish water spread over Ganjam, Khordha, and Puri districts. It is home to a variety of flora and hundreds of bird species. Go boating on the waters to explore Birds Island and Nalabana Island. It is the time to go on to Gopalpur, another fabulous beach resort where you book into your hotel and rest for the night.
Visit the hilltop Taratarini Temple, one of India’s oldest shrines dedicated to the twin goddesses Tara and Tarini, perched atop a scenic hill with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the sea. Next, unwind at the less crowded, serene Patisonapur Beach, perfect for reflection and witnessing a breathtaking sunset over the Bay of Bengal. Return to Gopalpur for your overnight stay.
Drive back to Bhubaneswar and check in your hotel.
