Shillong and Cherrapunjee are both in the state of Meghalaya, India, offering a combination of natural beauty, culture, and unique phenomena like living root bridges and extreme rainfall. Shillong, the capital, is known as the "Scotland of the East" for its scenic beauty, lakes, and waterfalls, while Cherrapunjee (Sohra) is famous for its breathtaking waterfalls, lush greenery, caves, and is one of the wettest places on Earth.

Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport, you'll be transferred to Shillong. Enjoy the scenic 3-hour journey, passing through lush green hills, charming landscapes, and quaint villages. En route, make a brief stop at Umiam Lake, a man-made reservoir surrounded by lush green hills and dense pine forests. Take some time to admire its stunning beauty, or opt for a boat ride on its serene waters. Later, continue your journey to Shillong. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
In the morning, you'll be taken to explore Elephant Falls, named for it's "Three Steps Waterfalls." Then, embark on a day trip to Cherrapunji, the wettest place on Earth, starting with Mawsmai Caves, known for their limestone formations. Continue to Arwah Caves, famous for their ancient fossils and mysterious passages. Lastly, visit NohKaLikai Falls, India's tallest plunge waterfall, and the Seven Sisters Falls, a magnificent series of waterfalls. Later, get driven back to the hotel.
Today, get transferred for a sightseeing tour of Shillong. First, visit Laitlum Canyon, known for its panoramic views of rolling hills and deep valleys. Next, explore the Don Bosco Museum, featuring a vast collection of cultural artifacts, followed by a visit to the Cathedral in Laitumkhrah. Later, enjoy a leisurely stroll through Lady Hydari Park with its flower beds and walking trails. Conclude your day by exploring the bustling market of Police Bazaar before being driven back to the hotel.
Bid adieu to Meghalaya as you check out from your hotel. Later, get transferred to Guwahati. If time permits, visit the Kamakhya Temple, an important Hindu pilgrimage site where you can seek blessings from Goddess Kamakhya. Finally, get driven to Guwahati Airport for your flight back home.
