The journey, approximately 90 kilometers (2.5–3 hours), winds through scenic mountain roads lined with lush pine forests, tea gardens, and quaint Himachali villages. Upon reaching Dharamshala, check in at your hotel and freshen up before heading out for a relaxing half-day of local sightseeing. Visit the Dal Lake, surrounded by deodar trees, and explore the St. John in the Wilderness Church, one of the oldest Anglican churches in North India, known for its neo-Gothic architecture and peaceful setting. Later, enjoy panoramic views of the Dhauladhar mountain range from Naddi Village and Sunset Point — perfect for capturing memorable photographs. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the local markets of Dharamshala, where you can shop for handicrafts, woolens, and Tibetan souvenirs. Return to the hotel and unwind after a refreshing start to your Himalayan getaway. Overnight stay at the hotel in Dharamshala.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Dharamshala and McLeodganj, often called “Little Lhasa” due to its deep-rooted Tibetan influence. Begin your day at the Namgyal Monastery, the personal monastery of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, where you’ll experience the peaceful energy of Tibetan chants and prayer wheels. Continue to the Bhagsunag Temple and Bhagsunag Waterfall, a sacred and scenic spot loved by visitors. Later, visit the HPCA Cricket Stadium, known for its striking backdrop of the snow-covered Himalayas, followed by the War Memorial, a tribute to Indian soldiers. In the evening, wander through McLeodganj’s bustling markets, offering Tibetan handicrafts, jewelry, carpets, and local delicacies. Return to your hotel to relax and enjoy a cozy night in the lap of nature. Overnight stay at the hotel in Dharamshala.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Dalhousie, located about 120 kilometers (3–4 hours) away. En route, admire the scenic beauty of pine-covered hills, winding roads, and distant Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and unwind before heading out for an afternoon of local exploration.
